In September, the Buildings Department approved a total of nine building
plans, including four in Hong Kong Island and five in the New
Territories. These plans cover three residential and
commercial-residential developments, four commercial developments, one
community service development, and one factory and industrial
development.
Eight building projects were approved for
commencement. Upon completion, these projects will provide a total of
11,985 square meters of floor area for residential use, involving 216
units, and 14,785 square meters of floor area for non-residential use.
In
addition, the department has received notifications of the commencement
of the superstructure works of three building projects.
In
the same month, 16 occupancy permits were issued simultaneously,
including four in Hong Kong Island, four in Kowloon and eight in the New
Territories. The total floor area for residential use was 51,721 square
meters, involving 1,004 units, and the floor area for non-residential
use was 100,005 square meters.
In September, the department
received 2,485 reports of unauthorized structures and issued 898
demolition orders for such structures.
