Six building plans were approved in August.
In August, the Buildings Department approved six sets of building plans,
including two in Kowloon and four in the New Territories. These plans
cover three residential and mixed-use developments, two commercial
developments, and one community service development.
Eleven
construction projects were approved to commence, which upon completion
will provide a total of 175,707 square meters of floor area for
residential use, involving 3,116 units, and 37,338 square meters of
floor area for non-residential use.
In addition, the department received notifications of the commencement of superstructure works for 13 building projects.
A
total of 13 occupancy permits were issued within the month, including
four in Hong Kong Island, five in Kowloon and four in the New
Territories. The permits covered a total floor area of 39,922 square
meters for residential use, involving 592 units, and 298,335 square
meters for non-residential use.
The department received
2,716 reports of unauthorized structures in the same month and issued
504 demolition orders for such structures.
