11 building plans approved in December
The Buildings Department approved 11 building plans in December last year, including two on Hong Kong Island, four in Kowloon, and five in the New Territories. These encompassed six residential and commercial-residential developments, four community service developments, and one factory and industrial development.
Four building projects received approval to commence construction. Upon completion, they will provide a total of 12,187 square meters of residential floor area, comprising 341 units, along with 1,528 square meters of non-residential floor area.
Additionally, the department received commencement notices for superstructure works on six building projects.
During the month, 19 occupation permits were issued: five on Hong Kong Island, five in Kowloon, and nine in the New Territories. These involved a total residential floor area of 41,983 square meters, comprising 892 units, and a non-residential floor area of 38,154 square meters.
Furthermore, the department received 3,250 reports concerning unauthorized building works during the month and issued 292 removal orders for such works.
